Map It Out

Collaborations with Sandra Rechico
2011 to present

Sandra and I have an ongoing community mapping project called Map it Out that first started in 2011 as part of our solo exhibition at the A Trans Pavilion in Berlin. We asked community members how they got to the gallery and to make a map of their route. Since then we have been invited to continue the project In numerous community settings including, in Long Island City at the Dorsky Gallery and Cultural Projects in 2014 and the 2018 RGS Geography Conference in Cardiff. In 2019 we were invited to be artists in residence at the Nicolas Brown Center of Public Humanities and Cultural Heritage at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. This culminated in the Radical Cartography Now conference and a solo exhibition at the Nicolas Brown Center of Public Humanities and Cultural Heritage.
